I am about to dye my hair and I was wondering what is the best shampoo and conditioner to use? I want it to repair damage (as much as possible) and keep the colors bold.
Im not dying it natural color either. Unless you want to count the main color 'Midnight blue' (black with a shade of blue).
Tips in general will be nice, since this is my first time going to a salon to get my hair dyed unatural colors..
Please and Thank you

I have extremely dried hair too, I've self died mine way to many times. I use Matrix Biolace Volumizing shampoo and condish. And then I leave in joico repairing mask for 5 minutes.
it really helps my hair. Make sure you get it cut regularly.
I don't advice self dieing it. It reaaaaly dries it out. It's worth it to get it profectionally done. What is the best shampoo and conditioner for dyed hair? Tips in general?
Do not use Herbal Essences as others have suggested, the sulfates in this shampoo will dry your hair and remove your color so quick!
Redken Extreme line will help with repair. Maybe just get the conditioner or hair mask from this line.
Color Me Sexy (Sexy Hair Concepts) is sulfate free! And very nice on your hair. Sexy Hair Organics is great too. Want to splurge, Pureology products are the most concentrated, best money can buy. They last forever.
As long as you stick with salon professional products, your hair will keep the color well (especially the one you have chosen!)
Your stylist will have his/her own suggestions for your specific hair type, so hold their opinion high, hopefully they know what they're doing! Good luck.
Edit: Satin? wtf is that?? some kind of petroleum product..??? lol
try the herbal esscenses shampoo and conditioners. They have some for everything like restoring hair, and the one that you would want is ';Color me Happy'; It is for people with dyed hair
herbal essences color me happy shampoo for color treated hair with a fusion of acai berries %26amp; satin. that's what it says on the bottle.
Good for you for going to a salon to get your hair done! So many people dye their hair an unnatural colour at home and it comes out horribly.
A good colour protecting shampoo is Pureology. It's fairly expensive, but does the trick. I often use it; their entire line is colour protecting but you can get it in different varieties (moisturising, repairing, etc). I'd also get their UV protector spray, as it helps prevent fading, especially during summer.
Also, I believe L'Oreal makes a line of shampoos that actually add dye back into your hair, and a conditioner as well, that you use once or twice a week. I'm not sure if it would come for blue, but it's worth looking up.
