What are hair tips for someone with curly hair?

Well I have curly hair and it gets poofy sometimes but I put on loads of mousee so it normally stays down but if i don't it goes crazy. i don't like putting it into a ponytail as it poofs out a lot. does anyone know any good hair styles?What are hair tips for someone with curly hair?

*Comb conditioner through hair in the shower.


*Never use a brush, only a comb when the hair is wet.


*Apply styling products to dripping wet hair. Scrunch or twirl hair to achieve desired shape.

For now, I recommend trying LA Looks and Herbal essences gels, Suave Naturals/vo5 conditioners (really cheap), Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Condish (semi-cheap but super moisturizing; found at organics/specialty stores), red Cream of Nature shampoo, and L'oreal out of bed instant texturizer (black tub; use under gel). Lastly, it has made my hair so much better since I started the curly girl method! I have similar problems with my hair. I put a defrizzing serum in my hair to keep it from frizzing during the day. I have my hairdresser cut my hair in long layers so that I can wear it curly or straight. This type of cut helps a lot with curly hair.
