Can I straiten it to apply heat? Do I really have to wait 24 hours before I can color it? How does this whole foiling thing work?

Thank you!I am bleaching my dark brown hair tips in order to color the tips blue. What does it mean to apply heat?
i did the same thing you are doing to my dark hair. Here is what to do:

[my stylist told me the steps were so simple you could do them at home]

1. make sure you have strips of tin foil, about 3';X6';

2. apply the bleach where you want the blue to show up, and roll your hair in the tin foil.

3. use a BLOW DRYER to apply heat for 10-20 minutes, depending on how long it takes to bleach

4. next take new pieces of foil and put the blue dye on.

5. roll it up and repeat step 3.

6. wash hair thoroughly

hope i helped :)I am bleaching my dark brown hair tips in order to color the tips blue. What does it mean to apply heat?
use the blow dryer on it.
no head needed and if you dark brown hair isn't your natural with bleach you will not get it. trust me i tried it on a Friend and it did int lift. and with heat you are just going to burn your hair. especially if you have fine hair. my grate advice is dint do it on your own go at a Solon get your hair down cause we hairdresser now what we are doing even if sometimes people think we dint. don't take you hair for granted that a mistake and after that your colored your hair make sure you give it a good treatment and trim it to keep your hair always healthy! good luck
you do not have to use foil, that can burn out or kill the tips. use your blow dryer on low heat until tips are dry. or just dye them using a lighter shade of blue instead of bleaching the tips.
