How should i dye my hair tips?

I want to dye the tips of my hair like, a really vibrant blue but I don't know how I should do it. My hair is dark brown. Should I bleach the tips first or just use a certain dye? How far up from the tips should i dye? I need help =P. How should i dye my hair tips?
walgreens has this awesome dye called splat. contains a bleach kit w/ dye. id use that. they have a nice blue. try using hair ties to separate the hair you want to bleach/dye from the hair you don't. how much you should dye depends on the length of your hair. longer hair looks better with 2+ inches. id try about an inch and a half or maybe just an . good luck!How should i dye my hair tips?
you should do about one inch to start with and bleach it first! if you don't, it could turn green in a few days. if the inch isn't enough, slowly add more until you have the right amount. make sure you get a bright blue that won't fade.

I would bleach mine first, then dye it blue, also i would dye about one inch of the tip of my hair or something around that.
