if your wanting to keep it curly... just use some good products while its wet.
If its wavy and you want more curls... turn your head upside down while its wet. put some gel in it and scrunch it up. Then spray it really good with some tight hold hairspray and use the diffuser attatchment on your hair dryer and scrunch it while you use the cold or med setting on yoru hair dryer. I would also use a curl enhancing shampoo.
I would get a trim every 4 to 6 weeks to keep the frizzies away and only get half inch cut off maybe less. that will keep your curls from those fly away strays. How do you take care of your curly hair and any Curly/Wavy hair tips?

for me... mine thick as well as curly/wavy.
Ok so I...
Don't wash daily but condition daily... leave in or wash out
Comb your hair instead of brush it, chances are your hair will be some what dryer than a normal head of hair and breakage is very common to those curlies
Let it dry naturally and straighten as little as possible
Don't use hair products (except hair dye)
thats about it
The best thing is to put hairspray so it holds. Also before (if) your curling your hair make sure you put a heat serum, especially on the tips. oh and let your hair dry on its own accord if you drying it with a hair dryer try not to touch it. cCheck the link. Hoped it helped !
