How can I prevent my hair tips from becoming straightener fried!!?

i usually just straighten the very ends of my hair so they won't flip out/in... and they started looking ';straggley'; and fried so I went and got my hair trimmed. Now, my hair looks healthy and is still long. How can I prevent it from becoming fried.. and still straighten tips??How can I prevent my hair tips from becoming straightener fried!!?
Use a heat-defense shampoo like the ones from Dove.. Also, you can apply a heat-defense serum/gel to the ends of your hair.. it basically protects your hair from heat styling. I supposed that's one of the only things you can really do to protect your ends from damage, other than trimming on a regular basis. Good luck! Oh, and don't use your iron on a very high setting, either.. I imagine that'd be quite damaging as well. How can I prevent my hair tips from becoming straightener fried!!?
You can't. Straightening fries your ends...that's the way it has all ways been. There are products that claim to eliminate damage- all lies. I do suggest that you invest in a product that helps protect your hair from heat damage, though, they do help a little. Just get your ends trimmed every so often- its the only real way.
you can buy heat protectant for your hair when you curl or straighten it.

you spray it on your hair before you straighten it.
heat protectant shampoo/conditioner like some from dove
