Hair tips?

i have a bunch of split ends becos i straighten my hair. i use a special cream to prevent it but i still get lots of split ends and i want it to stop!!!...and i dont want to cut my hair.

heyy... i use to do exactly the same thing i would never get my hair cut coz i wanted it 2 grow as long as possible then i found out your hair will not grow as much wen you dont have it trimmed, coz the hair just brakes off where it is dammaged. so dont get your hair cut just ask the hair dresser to cut off the split ends.





What i do is drown my hair is conditioner basicaly and leave it in for half an hour held in with a grip. This wont fix your hairs split ends but it will put alot more moisture back in to it, making it nice and silky. Use a good brand conditioner made for replenishing dried out hair like treseseme thermal recovery, but any conditioner is better than nothing.





Oh yeah let your hair dry naturally whenever you have the time to reduce the amount of heat it's exposed and never forget to use a heat protector before straighterning.





Please learn from my mistakes i used to straighten my hair loads without looking after it properly and now its just wont grow at all.

good trick to do without cutting much off the length although you still need to trim the ends on a regular basis ...








is to twist the hair in small sections





move your finger and thumb upwards on the twisted hair and you will find all the broken /split ends will stick out


lightly cut of the ends on the flat side of the scissors /careful not to go too close to the twisted hair and cut just the split ends


good i you have long hair the the split ends are too far up the hair shaft





also treat your hair with conditoner/ treaments / leave in treatments and heat protective spray before you straighten your hair

Sorry to say it but thats what you have to do to get rid of split ends, they dont become unsplit by a cream or spray or anything like that. I was having the same problem so now I just straighten my hair like once a week..so its not so bad on my hair. there are tons of other cute hair styles besides straighting it all the time. :)
the only way to get rid of em is to get a trim


and products hardly ever work to prevent split ends ur straightener is not good for ur hair u should get one thats ceramic i use ion conditioning ceramic and i've used it almost every day since last october and i have no split ends because i get my hair trimmed and cuz the straightener i have is ceramic and it helps condition my hair
get your hair trimmed which will get rid of the split ends, then start using some products that prevent split ends. ask your hairdresser for them.
it's OK to cut Ur hair if u cut it Ur hair will become nice smooth thick and straight so just go ahead and cut it u don't need cream.
I'm afraid marebear is correct. Cutting is the only way.
sorry but if you dont get a trim the spit ends will continue up you hair and break off ..
