Does anyone have any hair tips for 8th grade?

I'm about to start 8th grade and I need some hair tips. My school has a dress code, so the only thing we can really fix up is our hair. I'm looking for some cool hair styles, different ways to part my hair, and different ways to put it up. My hair is pretty thin and I want to keep it long. I have a roundish face if that helps. My complexion is kinda bad to and I have enlarged pores and black heads. Please help. Any other tips you have will be greatly appreciated. I would do some hairstyles that are nice looking but don't take forever in the morning. One thing I highly highly suggest is getting some leave in curlers for overnight. There are so many brands and kinds out there so you can choose what you want the result to be. This way you can sleep on it over night and take them out in the morning with little to do to fix it. Also, braiding and french braiding will be nice, because you can do your bangs, pig tails, pony tail... etc. Play up any hairstyle with a headband. Hope this helps and good luck!
